"We are considering the possibilities of cooperation in nuclear energy with Armenia." O'Brien to Radar Armenia

James O'Brien, US Deputy Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs, and Erin McKee, Head of the USAID Europe and Eurasia Bureau, referred to the USA's support of Armenia's territorial integrity and sovereignty.

Answering the "Radar Armenia" question of whether US-Armenia negotiations are underway on the future and diversification of RA nuclear energy, he replied: "We recommend two ways. The first is the safety and efficiency study of the existing nuclear power plant. The RA-US partnership is considering options for possible energy cooperation in the nuclear sector. For starters, scientific exchanges to explore a possible research component. Then, questions about the nuclear power plant's replaceability, and finally, an assessment of the financial component."
