US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken addressed a press conference and discussed many global issues, including Ukraine's accession to NATO.
Blinken, in particular, said: "We are entirely focused on the future. We discussed the concrete results of the July summit in Washington, including increasing our support for Ukraine, strengthening NATO's deterrence and defense capabilities by expanding our defense-industrial bases on both sides of the Atlantic, and deepening cooperation with partners, including the Indo-Pacific, in the region.
We held our second Ukraine-NATO Council and confirmed that Ukraine's future is in NATO. Our goal now is to build a bridge to Ukraine's total membership, offering additional support and closer cooperation as Ukraine implements the reforms necessary for NATO membership."
