French President Emmanuel Macron has stated that he does not doubt that Russia will maliciously target the Olympic Games to be held in Paris this summer.
"I have no doubts, including in terms of information," Macron said, commenting on the journalist's observation that Russia will try to harm the Olympics. Macron's comments, made at an event to mark the opening of the new Olympic Aquatics Center in Paris, reflect his views on external security threats or the smooth running of the Games.
In recent months, Macron has taken a tougher line on Russia, vowing that Moscow will be defeated and has not ruled out European troops entering Ukraine one day, although he has also made it clear that France has no intention of provoking military action against Russia.
