Five security service personnel were killed in two simultaneous terrorist attacks in the Sistan and Baluchestan provinces of southeastern Iran. Local security officials said two police and military bases in Ras and Chabahar were damaged in the attacks, which began late Wednesday.
Clashes continue in three parts of Baluchestan: Sarbaz, Ras, and Chabahar. The security forces surround the terrorists. Majid Mirahmadi, Iran's deputy interior minister for security and police affairs, announced early Thursday that the simultaneous terrorist attacks in Chabahara and Isqa were prevented thanks to the vigilance of security and law enforcement forces.
