Ukraine will receive a 1.5 billion loan from the World Bank

The country's prime minister, Denys Shmyhal, announced that Ukraine will receive 1.5 billion dollars from Great Britain and Japan under the World Bank program.

"The Board of Directors of the World Bank approved the decision to allocate 1.5 billion dollars to Ukraine within the development policy support loan framework. Of them, 984 million dollars will be provided from Japan, and 516 million dollars from Great Britain," he wrote on his Telegram channel. Shmygal expressed hope that Ukraine will receive funds by the end of March. In 2024, a record budget deficit of 43.9 billion dollars is planned in Ukraine.
