The European Union supports Ukraine not out of love for the Ukrainian people but out of its interests, the head of the EU's foreign policy, Josep Borell, stated in an interview with CNN.
"We cannot allow Russia to win this war. Otherwise, the interests of the USA and Europe will be significantly damaged. It is not a question of generosity; it is not a question of supporting Ukraine because we love the Ukrainian people. It is in our interests, as well as in the interests of the United States as a global player, one that must be seen as a reliable partner that ensures the security of allies, and that is why we have called on the United States to open and approve the additional budget," he emphasized.
