The Palestinian Islamist group Hamas said on Monday that it had informed mediators that it would stick to its initial offer to reach a comprehensive ceasefire that would include the withdrawal of Israeli troops from Gaza and the return of displaced Palestinians.
It also demanded a "genuine prisoner exchange," meaning the release of Palestinian prisoners from Israeli prisons in exchange for Israeli hostages held in Gaza.
