US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken met with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in Tel Aviv as part of an intense diplomatic effort to reach a "durable and immediate ceasefire" in Gaza and contain the Israeli assault on Rafah.
The State Department told reporters that Secretary of State Blinken's meeting with the Israeli military cabinet began shortly after that.
