US Defense Secretary, Pentagon Chief Lloyd Austin will receive Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Galant next week.
Austin recently invited Gallant, and it was not related to Monday's announcement, which followed a phone call between President Joe Biden and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who agreed to send a group of senior officials to Washington to discuss the events related to the war in Gaza and the possible operation of the Israeli forces in the city of Rafah.
