On March 18, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev called Russian President Vladimir Putin. Aliyev congratulated Putin on his victory in the presidential elections and wished him success in his presidential activities to develop and prosper the country.
Vladimir Putin thanked Aliyev for his attention and congratulations. During the telephone conversation, there was confidence in further strengthening alliance ties and strategic partnerships between the two countries, and ideas were exchanged on cooperation prospects.
