As the US Congress continues to block further aid to Ukraine, US President Joe Biden has approved an alternative $300 million emergency military aid package.
It will include weapons and ammunition to help meet "some of the most pressing needs" of the Ukrainian military, Jake Sullivan, the US President's National Security Adviser, said at a briefing in Washington.
