The US will invest 300 million dollars for the security of Haiti

The United States will contribute $300 million to the Kenyan-led multinational security mission in Haiti, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken said, describing the deteriorating situation.

"The United States Department of Defense is doubling approved support for the mission from $100 million to $200 million, bringing the total US support to $300 million," Blinken said at the end of a meeting of Caribbean countries (CARICOM) in Kingston, Jamaica. It is not yet clear when the security mission will be deployed.
