The US demands answers from Israel

The US State Department spokesman, Matthew Miller, announced that the US State Department expressed condolences for those killed and wounded in an Israeli strike on humanitarian aid distribution in northern Gaza on Thursday. It said US officials were pressing Israel for answers.

"In the course of this conflict, many innocent Palestinians have been killed not only today but in the last five months or so. We have been in contact with the Israeli government since early morning and understand that an investigation is underway," Miller said at the briefing.
