World Defense News reported that Azerbaijan has signed an agreement with Serbia to purchase 48 Nora B-52NG self-propelled howitzers of 155 mm caliber. The transaction, totaling 340 million dollars, is part of the Azerbaijani army's modernization strategy.
The howitzers were developed by the Serbian defense company Yugoimport but are compatible with standard NATO ammunition. With improved aerodynamics, projectiles can be launched at more than 40 km.
