The US Secretary of State's spokesman, Matthew Miller, referred to the meeting of the Secretary of State with the leaders of Azerbaijan and Armenia in Munich last week. When asked if he still believes peace is within reach, Miller answered in the affirmative.
"He still believes that peace is within reach, and he just discussed that with the leaders of these two countries and encouraged them to work together to overcome the few remaining challenges. And we will continue to encourage those countries to reach a peace agreement. I know that the two leaders had a bilateral meeting in Munich, so we will continue to offer the help and support of the United States in reaching an agreement," he said.
