Three agreements were signed after the negotiations between the presidents of Turkey and Azerbaijan, Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Ilham Aliyev. The parties signed contracts in the tax, veterinary, and higher education sectors, reports Anadolu Agency.
The President of the Council of Higher Education, Professor Erol Ozvar, and the Minister of Science and Education of Azerbaijan, Emin Emrullayev, signed a memorandum of understanding between the Council of Higher Education of Turkey and the Ministry of Education and Science of Azerbaijan on the establishment of a Turkish-Azerbaijani university.
The Minister of Agriculture and Forestry, Ibrahim Yumakli, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, signed an agreement on cooperation in the field of veterinary medicine.
The agreement on the prevention of double taxation of income taxes and prevention of tax evasion was signed by the Minister of Finance and Treasury of Turkey, Mehmet Shimsek, and the Minister of Economy of Azerbaijan, Mikayil Jabbarov.
