"We will continue the work of rapprochement between Armenia and Azerbaijan." O'Brien

James O'Brien, the US Deputy Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs, spoke about Armenia-Azerbaijan relations and answered the journalist's question about how much the recent clashes complicate diplomacy or the potential of the diplomatic path.

O'Brien replied, "On the latter, I think the tension right now just points to the importance of greater diplomacy, but I don't want to speculate on any specific action, so we'll just continue to try to bring the sides together."
