France offers Israel-Lebanon talks

13 February, 9:55

France has submitted a written proposal to official Beirut aimed at ending hostilities with Israel and settling the disputed Lebanese-Israeli border. France has called on fighters, including elite Hezbollah units, to pull back 10 km (6 miles) from the border, according to Reuters. The plan aims to end border fighting between Iran-backed Hezbollah and Israel. The hostilities run parallel to the war in Gaza and raise concerns about a devastating, all-out confrontation.
