The United States is working on a hostage deal that would include a six-week pause in the Israel-Hamas war. US President Joe Biden said this against Mossad head David Barnea's departure to Cairo for the next round of negotiations.
"The United States is working on a hostage deal between Israel and Hamas that will bring an immediate and lasting ceasefire to Gaza for at least six weeks, during which we can take time to build something more stable," Biden said on Monday.
