John Kirby will get a new position

Citing the sources of the American administration, the Associated Press agency reported that John Kirby, strategic communications coordinator at the White House National Security Council (NSC), will receive a new position and be appointed assistant to the US president.

Kirby will be appointed White House National Security Communications Adviser and will be tasked with overseeing the exchange of information between various US agencies. In addition, Kirby will move from deputy assistant to assistant to the US president. The agency emphasized that despite the new role, Kirby will continue to speak at the White House during regular briefings for reporters.
