"It does not appear that China is trying to contain Iran." Head of the Pentagon

"US officials see no evidence that China is trying to get Iran to stop attacks by Yemen's Ansar Allah (Houthi) rebel movement on Red Sea ships." US Defense Minister Lloyd Austin announced this during a press conference.

"As far as the leaders' closed communications, we don't know, but we haven't seen any visible evidence that they are urging or pressuring Iran to get the Houthis to stop what they are doing," Austin added.
