US Deputy Secretary of State Victoria Nuland is confident that 2024 is strategically important for Ukraine and will bring some "certain successes" to it on the battlefield. He said this during a meeting with journalists in Kyiv, as reported by the correspondent of "Европейская правда." Asked about the debate with Ukrainian officials over the 2024 strategy, Nuland said he was leaving Kyiv "with great optimism about unity and determination in 2024 and its absolute strategic importance for Ukraine."
"I also leave with greater confidence that even though Ukraine is strengthening its defenses, Mr. Putin will get some pleasant surprises on the battlefield, and Ukraine will have sure success this year," he added.
