A US Air Force F-16 fighter jet crashed on Wednesday after an emergency during a training flight off the coast of South Korea. The incident is the third disaster involving US military aircraft stationed in Korea in a year.
The Air Force stated that the pilot successfully left the fighter and recovered about 50 minutes after the crash. The pilot was conscious and taken to a medical facility for evaluation.
