Ukraine has turned to a defensive strategy amid Western aid cuts and a failed counteroffensive. It is building its own Maginot Line, which mimics the tactics Russia used in Zaporizhzhia to stop a counteroffensive by Ukraine's armed forces last year.
The Spanish newspaper "El Mundo" writes that the construction of the second line of defense is underway. "It is not just a hard line, like the Russian one. We are placing defensive points on the heights," one of the Ukrainian military officers told the newspaper.
