Toyota's subsidiary, Daihatsu, has stopped the operation of its factories in Japan. The reason is the scandal surrounding the falsification of crash test data and other violations related to vehicle operation safety.
Factories will not work for at least a month. During that time, Daihatsu produced about 70,000 cars. The company is considering compensating more than 400 parts manufacturers with whom it works directly.
