The EU promises to invest 10 billion euros in the Trans-Caspian Corridor.

The EU-Central Asia Transport Communication Global Gateway Investor Forum, which brings together governments, financial institutions, businesses, and civil society from Europe, Central Asia, and other countries, opened today in Brussels. European Commission Vice President Valdis Dombrovskis announced that European and international financial institutions at the conference will allocate 10 billion euros to support and invest in sustainable transport communications in Central Asia.

The statement of the European Commission states that the EU is firmly advancing towards direct transport links with Central Asia through the Black Sea and Caucasus regions, which is done in full cooperation with the Central Asian countries, Turkey, and Eastern Partnership countries, which actively participate in the investors' forum.
