French President Emmanuel Macron has arrived in India. Macron will participate in the India Day celebration in the capital, Delhi. As the primary guest, he was invited to the celebration of the 75th anniversary of the republic, which will take place on January 26.
Emmanuel Macron's visit also celebrates 25 years of strategic partnership between India and France. It is noteworthy that Macron was earlier on a state visit to India in March 2018 and on an official visit in September 2023 to the G20 summit in Delhi. Macron also hosted Indian Prime Minister Modi four times in France.
During his visit, Macron will be accompanied by an impressive ministerial delegation consisting of Foreign Affairs Minister Stéphane Céjournay, Armed Forces Minister Sébastien Lecorne, and Culture Minister Rashida Dati, a business delegation of major French companies, small and medium-sized enterprises, and other prominent figures and famous individuals, including ESA astronaut Thomas Pesquet.
