Biden called on the US Congress to approve the sale of F-16s to Turkey

US President Joe Biden has officially appealed to the US Congress to approve the sale of F-16 fighter jets worth $20 billion to Turkey. It happened after Turkey ratified Sweden's bid to join NATO. Biden called for "immediate" project approval in a letter to lawmakers.

The White House did not comment on the information. The US State Department has also called on Ankara to complete Sweden's ratification of NATO formally. For this, Erdogan must sign the law, which will be published in Turkey's official gazette.
