Sanctions against Russian oil have worked throughout 2023, but its production has not decreased, and drilling is at a record high.
According to the Bloomberg agency, during the first 11 months of 2023, 28,100 kilometers were drilled, which means that, in general, the record of 2022 may be exceeded for the year when drilling exceeded the maximum of Soviet times for the first time. In 2023, China and India bought Russian oil first. Demand is also growing within the country, including at the army's expense.
