The Turkish parliament approved the bill on ratifying the protocol of Sweden's accession to NATO

The Turkish parliament has approved the bill on ratifying the protocol of Sweden's accession to NATO, reports the TASS agency.

The voting took place during the General Assembly of the Parliament session. 287 MPs voted favor of Sweden joining NATO, and 55 MPs voted against it.

The document was sent to Erdogan for signature. Hungary is the last country in the alliance that has yet to approve Sweden's application.
