Red Sea crisis hits Germany's chemical industry.

Germany's chemical industry, Europe's largest, has begun to struggle due to supply delays across the Red Sea, becoming the most significant industry to warn of supply disruptions. All that has forced some companies to reduce production.

Crucial goods imported from Asia to Europe, from auto parts and engineering equipment to chemicals and toys, are now taking longer to ship as shippers steer ships away from the Red Sea and the Suez Canal, bypassing Africa, following Yemen's Houthi attacks.
