On Sunday, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis suspended his presidential campaign. They endorsed Donald Trump just two days before New Hampshire's critical primary, leaving former U.S. Ambassador Nikki Haley as the last possible opponent for Trump's Republican nomination.
Desantis' decision, which came a week after Trump's landslide defeat in Iowa despite huge investments, sealed his defeat. And that's despite DeSantis being widely viewed by Republicans as the most promising alternative to Trump ahead of November's general election.
