"We must be ready for war with Russia in the next 20 years." NATO admiral

"NATO should prepare for war with Russia in the next two decades." According to The Daily Telegraph, Dutch admiral Rob Bauer, chairman of NATO's military committee, announced to the journalists the results of the January 17-18 meeting of the chiefs of general staff of the alliance member states and Sweden. "We have to realize that we are not allowed to be at peace," Bauer said. "And that is why we (NATO forces) prepare for the conflict with Russia."

According to him, the alliance should be more ready for the whole spectrum of threats. "It is also necessary to develop a system that will allow more people to be called into service if it comes to war," he emphasized. The preparation for the conflict, as the head of the NATO military committee noted, also requires the creation of an opportunity to rely on an industrial base that can quickly produce weapons and ammunition.
