Israel and Hamas have made a new deal

Qatar and France have struck a deal between Israel and the Palestinian Islamist group Hamas to provide emergency medicine to some 45 Israeli hostages held in Gaza in exchange for humanitarian and medical aid to the most vulnerable Palestinian civilians.

Both countries have announced that humanitarian aid will be sent from Qatar to Egypt via the Rafah border crossing.
