The Israel Defense Forces released extensive, updated military statistics on Sunday. According to statistics, Hamas losses include about 9,000 killed Hamas terrorists, including two of five Hamas brigade-level commanders and 19 battalion-level commanders from 24 battalions. The top leadership of Hamas in Gaza remains at large.
Earlier, the Israel Defense Forces announced that it killed about 1,500 Hamas terrorists in the south in the first days of the war to counter the Hamas invasion. The total number of Hamas forces varied widely from a pre-war figure of 40,000 to 25,000.
