Vendant Patel, the spokesperson for the US State Department, referred to the Armenian-Azerbaijani peace negotiations in the weekly briefing. Answering the journalist's question about whether there is any progress from the talks with the special adviser on the South Caucasus issue, Patel said.
"It continues to happen. We still believe that lasting peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan is possible. This is what the State Department will continue to work on. Coordinator Bono, the Secretary of State, and others continue to engage actively. I don't have any updates for you right now," Patel said.
