The United States and the United Kingdom hit the Yemeni Houthis.
US President Joe Biden has announced that the US, together with the UK, has carried out air and missile strikes on several Yemeni cities in the framework of a military operation, targeting several military facilities of the rebel Houthis.
UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak also stated that, from Britain's point of view, hitting the Houthis was self-defense. "In recent months, Houthi militias have carried out a series of dangerous and destabilizing attacks on merchant shipping in the Red Sea, posing a threat to British and other foreign ships," Sunak said.
