The Israeli sources, citing Al Arabi Al Jadid newspaper, report that a delegation of Israeli security forces left for Cairo on Monday to negotiate the release of the hostages. The resumption of talks comes amid growing internal and external pressure from Hamas to end the war and return hostages.
The talks broke down a week ago after the assassination of Saleh Al-Aruri, the deputy head of Hamas' political wing, in Beirut. Because of Egypt's decision, the Israeli security delegation has interrupted its visit to Cairo.
