French Prime Minister Elizabeth Bourne has resigned. The republic's president, Emmanuel Macron, announced this on his X social network (formerly Twitter) page.
The head of the country thanked him for his commitment and determination. Bourne has headed the French Cabinet of Ministers since May 2022.
It is noted that he will continue to perform his duties until the new government's appointment.
