Us Secretary of State Anthony Blinken arrived in Istanbul. The plane carrying the Secretary of State and the accompanying delegation landed at the Istanbul airport.
Blinken was welcomed at the airport by Yaprak Balkan, the head of the US Political Affairs Office; Jeffrey Flake, the US Ambassador to Ankara; Julie Yade, the US Consul General in Istanbul; Ilker Haktankacmaz, the head of the Istanbul Airport Civil Department, and other officials.
The US Secretary of State is expected to meet with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan on Saturday to discuss Israel's attacks on the Gaza Strip, regional issues and bilateral relations. A meeting with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is also expected.
