188 people died in Iran as a result of the explosion near the grave of General Qasem Soleimani
Explosions took place in the Iranian city of Kerman during a funeral procession on the way to the grave of General Qasem Soleimani.
According to the latest information, there are 188 victims and more than 150 injured. As the Iranian Tasnim agency noted, the explosions were carried out remotely. Two bags with explosives were found at the entrance to the Kerman cemetery.
On the night of January 3, 2020, as a result of the US operation in the territory of Baghdad International Airport, the Iranian general, the commander of the special forces of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, Qassem Soleimani, and the deputy head of the Iraqi Shia militias, Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, were killed. In Washington, they are involved in the organization of the attack on the American embassy in Baghdad on December 31, 2019. In response, Iran attacked American bases in Iraq, including Ain al-Assad.
