In a telephone conversation with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, French President Emmanuel Macron he expressed his "deep concern" over the high civilian casualties and the absolute humanitarian emergency facing the civilian population of Gaza.
According to a statement from the Elysee Palace on Wednesday's phone call, Macron told Netanyahu of Israel's urgent need to protect civilians and the urgency of providing aid to the people of Gaza.
