Iran has announced that Israel will "pay" for the assassination of the senior commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), Sayed Reza Mousavi. Mousavi was reportedly killed in an Israeli airstrike near the Syrian capital, Damascus, on Monday.
Footage published on social networks shows a cloud of smoke near Damascus International Airport, which is believed to be the result of Israeli airstrikes.
