"It is impossible to admit Ukraine to the EU if it does not meet the community's standards." Boone

The Secretary of State for European Affairs of the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Laurence Boone, announced: "The membership of Ukraine, Moldova, and Georgia in the European Union is impossible without their compliance with the community's standards."
"The expansion of the European Union at the expense of Ukraine, Moldova, and Georgia cannot be carried out without maintaining our democratic and economic standards," Boon wrote on her X social network page after hearings on the results of the EU summit on December 14-15 in the French National Assembly (lower house of parliament).
