"Israel's right to self-defense does not mean razing Gaza to the ground." Macron

French President Emmanuel Macron said Wednesday night that the fight against terrorism does not mean razing Gaza to the ground, referring to Israel's war against Hamas since the Oct. 7 massacre.

"We cannot allow the idea to take root that the effective fight against terrorism implies the destruction of Gaza or indiscriminate attacks on the civilian population," said E. Macron in an interview with France 5 TV.
