Hamas has derailed a new ceasefire deal

As reported by The Wall Street Journal, Hamas has allegedly rejected Israel's offer of a one-week ceasefire in exchange for the release of the hostages, stating that they will not discuss the release of the hostages until a complete truce takes effect. Egyptian officials told the newspaper.

The head of the terror group's political wing, Ismail Haniya, met with intelligence officials in Cairo earlier today to discuss Israel's offer but allegedly said he was there to push for a complete ceasefire and increased humanitarian aid.
