At least 118 people have been killed and more than 250 injured in an earthquake in northwest China. Rescuers are searching for survivors in cold temperatures below -13°C.
The earthquake struck Gansu province around midnight, collapsing buildings and damaging infrastructure in that province and neighboring Qinghai province.
According to the US Geological Service, the earthquake's magnitude was 6.2, and the depth of the epicenter was 10 km.
