The "Elaph" website of Saudi Arabia reported that Qatar and Israel are conducting secret negotiations in one of the European capitals on the possibility of exchanging hostages.
A senior diplomatic source revealed that the deal involved the exchange of prisoners (including children, women, and men), including three senior Israeli defense officers captured by Hamas. According to a Saudi source, Israel has committed to releasing about 300 Palestinian prisoners, in exchange for which the opposite side will release ten veteran prisoners serving long sentences, including the leader of the Fatah movement, Marwan Barghouti.
The Israeli delegation includes "Mossad" and "Shin Bet" officers, members of the Security Council, and representatives of the military intelligence service.
