Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Galant said that Israeli forces are encircling the last two strongholds of Hamas in northern Gaza.
He claimed that the Hamas battalions in the Jabalya and Shejaiya regions are on the verge of being dismantled. "The number of surrenders coming out of these places shows what is happening."
Gallant also claimed that those Hamas fighters who surrendered said they lacked weapons and food.
