The US has demanded that Israel end the fighting in Gaza by the New Year

Referring to several anonymous sources, the British newspaper The Economist reported on Sunday that the USA urged Israel to end the military operation in the Gaza Strip before the beginning of the new year. According to the newspaper, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken conveyed such a message to his interlocutors during his recent visit to Israel. The newspaper also reports that the administration of the US president demands from Israel to reduce the suffering of Palestinian civilians, especially in the south of the Gaza Strip.
